Creepy Baby Doll Head's Witch Costume

I made her dress and hat from scraps I found in the attic. Her "body" is an empty wine bottle. I made the ghost and bats on the tree as well. The tree is from Michael's. I think she really likes the costume!

Creepy Baby Doll Head Valentines

Half buried flattened and full of dirt, I found this baby doll head while raking my back yard. I brought it in, cleaned it up and unflattened it as much as I could. It sat on my kitchen counter for weeks, visitors asking me why I kept a creepy battered baby doll head in my kitchen. I didn't know, but didn't want to throw it out. When I started attaching inspirational notes on it, my daughter thought it was hilarious and started an Instagram account for it https://www.instagram.com/p/BQX6Lrfh9bK/?taken-by=thebabydollhead&hl=en

I thought the baby head would be nice in a Valentines Day display, so I tried it out. I think it's pretty cool!

Monster HIgh Dress: Morticia Addams

Here's my latest gothic creation, a dress inspired by Morticia Addams of The Addams Family TV show. As you can see by the photo, Clawdeen Wolf, a student at Monster High models the dress in all of her unholy glory.
Even with help from my two cats, my photography skills aren't great, but I am happy with the dress.

A Vampire Defense Kit

For my birthday my daughter surprised me with a vampire kit. It contains wooden stakes, holy water, a cross, a couple of garlic bulbs and some vampire literature. I hope I never have the chance to use it, but I thought it was a pretty cool gift and now I have my own doctor's kit - Dr. Van Helsing, that is.

Monster High: Clawdeen Wolf in Black, Red and a Touch of White

Clawdeen has yet another crocheted original! A ruffly white collar tops a black and red daytime dress. She's howling in style!

Gothic Miniature Baby Dolls

A friend at work gave me these two baby dolls, but they were so naked! I made them little diapers and the girl a top, which gave them a gothic baby look. Their plastic open/close eyes are a little creepy.

Monster High: Clawdeen Wolf has a new Halloween Dress!

I designed and crocheted this dress myself. It's the first in a series of dresses I'm planning to design and crochet for my granddaughter who has a nice little collection of Monster High dolls. They will make nice Christmas presents!

Cool Vendors at Connecticut Comicon

Vendors are my favorite attraction at any comicon, although celebrities and cosplayers are worth seeing as well. There weren't many celebrities at this convention which focused primarily on comic books and comic book artists. It amazes me how good the artists are and I admire them for making a living at what they love to do. I don't think many people can.

Freaky & Elegant's booth

There were a couple of vendors that I haven't seen before. The first one is a talented craft peddler called Freaky & Elegant, which is a good description of their wares. They sell jewelry, embroidered masks, etched beer mugs, and other cool stuff.

thatwhichisi13@yahoo.com, ?commission? in the subject line

The second is a kind of mysterious artist as her business card doesn't contain any online info except an email address for commissioned work. Besides what's in the picture above, she's a digital artist who makes small prints, books and sketches. It was her handmade dolls and their miniature house that caught my eye. They appeal to my sudden mysterious attraction to dolls. She does some really nice work. Does anyone know this artist?

A New White Dress for Clawdeen Wolf

Howling horrors! I made Clawdeen a new white dress with a black chain accessory.

I got the dress pattern for free at http://crochetforbarbie.blogspot.com/2012/07/white-monster-high-doll-dress.html via Pinterest via Ravlry and bought Monster High student Clawdeen Wolf on clearance at Walmart to use as a model. Armed with materials, tools and motivation to create a whole Monster High wardrobe for my granddaughter, my daughter informs me that my granddaughter no longer plays with Monster High dolls.

Okaaaay, well, I had fun making it anyway!
